/ Christopher Muñiz brings fifteen years of design leadership in collaboration with cultural institutions, interpretive centers, museums, and non-profit organizations. He focuses on the conception, planning, interpretation, and supporting design disciplines that shape narrative environments. He has extensive experience directing teams to achieve beautiful and well-executed environments that create meaningful connections between people, objects, and ideas.
Previously senior designer at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, Christopher bridged design in both communications and museum exhibitions. His work has received recognition for design excellence from the American Association of Museums, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Communication Arts, and several other publications on the subject of exhibition design.
Christopher earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors in Art History and Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Georgia. He is a member of the American Association of Museums, and the Society for Environmental Graphic Design.
/ Tim McNeil has dedicated over twenty years
to design direction and research for environments that display and interpret objects and ideas. He is a Professor of Design and Director of the Design Museum at the University of California, Davis where he combines teaching, research and practice in exhibition design and museum interpretation. Tim has extensive experience working with art objects, designing exhibition environments, and collaborating with a wide range of museum professionals.
As a leading advisor on sustainable design solutions for exhibition environments, Tim serves on green initiative committees for the California Association of Museums and American Association of Museums. His work has received recognition for design excellence from the Society for Environmental Graphic Design, the American Association of Museums, and is featured in several books and magazines. Tim is frequently a guest speaker at conferences on the topic of exhibition design.
Tim received his Bachelor of Arts in design from Middlesex University and a Master of Arts in exhibition design, from the University of the Arts, London. He also received an American Association of Museums fellowship to participate in the International Partnerships Among Museums (IPAM).

/ Leon Rodriguez approaches exhibit design with compelling solutions that enrich visitors and encourage human interaction. His areas of focus include space planning, furniture and interior design, interpretive graphic design, digital media, publications, and related promotional design. Leon has collaborated on projects with the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago and Medtronic Inc., Northridge, among others.
Leon was previously a senior designer at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Leon’s work has been featured in Communication Arts, and published in books on the subject of exhibition design. He also volunteers time educating middle school students on the importance of design thinking.
Leon earned his Bachelor of Science in Advertising with a concentration in graphic design from Boston University. He also attended De Program Graphic Design through the College for Creative Studies at the Koninklijke Academie van beeldende Kunsten in Holland.
/ Debi van Zyl is a Los Angeles-based exhibition designer who has collaborated with several institutions in Southern California including the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Huntington Library, and the Autry National Center, as well as nature and cultural centers, including the Hi-Desert Nature Museum, San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy and the Goleta Valley Historical Society.
Trained as an architect, Debi brings a thorough understanding of materiality to her work, which encompasses overall exhibition design and layout, showcase design, fabrication coordination, and environmental signage projects. Working at a variety of scales and levels of detail, Debi’s work leads to successful exhibits that respond to their contexts, their environment, and their visitors.
Debi earned her Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Vassar College.
